CLASS DESCRIPTION: This class is tailored for parents who have children ages 0 to 7 years old.

Like my secular courses (described below), fact-based content will remain the focus of this course. This faith-based class, however, will include time learning to use passages from the Bible to teach our children about healthy sexuality.

I typically teach this class to groups of moms. If you’re interested in a moms and dads class, just send me a message and I can set one up.

Creating the Foundations of Sexual Health

Though most of us are not aware of it, we teach our children about sexuality starting the day they are born. This class will help you to become aware of what you are teaching so you can make conscious, informed decisions about the messages you convey. The age-appropriate information you learn in this class will help guide your kids through later stages of sexual development.

In addition to gaining concrete information and resources, you will create a plan for teaching your children the sexual values you want for your family — starting now. Just as important, you will gain support and wisdom through connecting with other parents.

In all my courses you will learn:

• Ways in which you are already teaching your children about sexuality

• The different components of sexuality and what comprises sexual health

• Milestones of sexual knowledge for each developmental stage of your child

• Tools for establishing safe boundaries and healthy sexuality in your children

• Techniques for handling surprising sexual questions and situations

• How to establish a life long dialogue with your child about topics that are essential to their wellbeing

This is a two-part class. Meeting twice allows you to go home, digest the content, try out new techniques and come back the next week with your thoughts and questions. The fine print: Please commit to attending both classes in your session. If you miss the first class, I ask that you contact me to register for another two-part session.
